The Town of Vermilion, AB enthusiastically operates two indoor ice arenas, with ice time available October – March. Our arena hosts many major hockey games and exciting figure skating events throughout the year. Come on out and be part of the action!

CURLING IS FUN!
The Vermilion Curling Club features exciting curling action for men, ladies, youth and seniors! The five-sheet curling rink is adjacent to the ice arena facilities, and features community bonspiels’, competitive, recreational, and learn-to-curl opportunities for all ages and abilities.
Family Water Adventure!
The Vermilion Aquatic Centre offers fitness and fun for the entire family! This full service centre has an indoor five lane pool and lots of other features, including a sauna room, whirlpool, Tarzan rope, diving board and toys – to keep the children happy! There are swim lessons and fitness classes as well, and you can even have your child’s next birthday party there! Imagine the fun!
The Town of Vermilion, AB takes baseball seriously, and we are very proud of our outstanding teams and exceptional facilities! Pioneer Park and Vermilion Provincial Park each have incomparable and modern shale diamonds. We also have a large baseball diamond at the neighborhood fairgrounds, as well as clay diamonds at the local schools.

The Town of Vermilion, AB, the Vermilion Soccer Association and the Vermilion Provincial Park have worked together to provide one of Alberta’s finest sport facilities, six full size soccer fields located in the provincial park. With camping right next to the fields, this is one of the best places in Western Canada for major soccer tournaments!

lf so, we would like to extend an invitation to come and see what it is all about. Pickleball is a sport that is fun for all ages and does not require any special skills or equipment. We will provide the balls and paddles and some basic lessons to get you started.
